LS1 Dyno day results.

Here's the results from the dyno day.

01. 305.2 kW - Jason (Sidewindr) S/C VTII SS
02. 240 kW - Karl VX GTS
03. 226 kW - Andy (AndyP) VX SS
04. 215.5 kW - Brad (Rate) VTII Clubsport R8
05. 214.3 kW - Matt (phantom meneSS) VTII SS
06. 208.5 kW - Rob (RobVTR8) VTII CLubsport R8
07. 202 kW - Fabian (FDVTGEN3SS) VTII SS
08. 201.8 kW - Grant (HRT8) VX Wagon
09. 195.5 kW - Gordon (GOSS) VTII SS
10. 191.6 kW - Mark (5.7 Berlina) VTII Berlina
11. 179 kW - Rohan (V8BRUTE) VU SS
12. 177 kW - Damian (Scud) VXII SS
13. 176 kW - Adam 200sx
14. 174 kW - Sean (VTiiGen3SS) VTII SS
15. 173 kW - Rudy (Decoy) VXII SS
16. 169 kW - Salt (holdenlover) VXII SS
17. 168 kW - Srete (S6RX7) Series 6 RX7
18. 165 kW - Doug (Elmis) VTII Calais
19. 146 kW - Chris (Nocky) VN Calais 5l
20. 142 kW - Nick (YPLAY4) AUII XR8 220
21. 134 kW - Andrew (Wierd) VRSS
22. 126 kW - Maruizio (CSV_LS1) S/C VS Calais V6
23. 78.7 kW - Brad (Oldskoolpushrod) Barina SRi

Number 20 might be of interest to you guys.

That was on a Dyno dynamics dyno with no changes to the dyno between runs. Made for an even playing field right across.

I thought the reading should be a little higher for a stock 220 XR8

AUssie Pete here from the Tickford day:
Interesting results. Those LS1s are a great engine.

Yes, number 20 is of interest. It seems more like the figures you'd see from an EL (i.e. 185kw engine). However, the odometer reading would have been critical for the windsor.

I guess I have to spend more money again - I only hit 207 on Friday.

Hmmm bloody powerful engines the LS1's, at the moment my car would only beat the Barina SRi in that list.

I agree with Pete the km's on the windsor plays a big role. I would of thought the Xr8 220kw would make better figure than that. Around the 150-155kw at the wheels seems more reasonable.

*yawn*
Seems pointless posting this info here when there was only one Ford.

yeah looked at that thread. Looks like the only thing still stock is the SS letters! My head got dizzy.
Always wanted to ask, does it matter if the transmission is auto or manual?and I bet it also depends on how your mags or tyres pressure is like?

Interesting the range of outputs for identical gen III's, 165-179kw. Be worth shopping around before haning over cash for your new car I suppose

Hmmm a few of em don't seem stock. Bet that 200SX with 176kw at the wheels ain't stock and the VN Calais at 146kw as well. :oo1: :oo1:

Gotta say though the GenIII engine is pretty sweet making over 160kw at the wheels stock. Add to that if you buy an Exec Commo i reckon it has to be a good deal for bang for your buck.
