I was Stopped at a set of lights a old guy is walking acroos, walks upto my Door, i wind the window down and he ASK me if its a GT, "sorry its a GTP" I used to Own a XY GT, when i was your age, you have a nice car..
Like any Ford Fan i Offered to take him for a drive, never seen a door opened faster, 1hour later i dropped him off, done the shopping got home to a EArfull from the GF, Told her what happened got the usual you were racing bullshit, took her to his house, his wife came out and said "i thought he was dreaming it true he went for a drive in a BA GT". Look at the Gf her smile told me to tell them to get in, Took both of them for a drive, got to love the open roads of the NT, Dropped both of them off with smiles from ear to ear and she said if we win lotto we have to by one.
I just had to share this
I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out
nice one. It always feels good to put a smile on peoples faces.
I was parked in a shopping centre car park in my current XF mid last year. When me and the GF had finished shopping and got to the car, and elderly gentleman got out of the mobile home thing next to me and started asking about the car. He asked if I had the time to explain what had been done to it and if he could have a look. My GF just smiled and I continued to point it all out to him and everything else. He was more than impressed, his wife wasn't. He said he was from NT and was doing a round trip around Aussie. He only just missed me walking into the shopping centre so he waited the whole time.
Now I know my car aint much, but just to put a smile on his face was well worth it.
I was also sitting in the same car park waiting for my GF to finish work when I noticed an elderly gentleman fall over while carrying the shopping home with his wife. I was quick to get over to him and at the time I was training to be a nurse (go ahead and laugh). I ended helping him up and got him to my car. I gave him and his wife a lift home with the shopping and helped them pack it away. a few days later there was a thing in the newspaper written by his wife thanking me and my GF for our help. Damn it felt good!
