Re: Manual or Automatic

The results say it all. Manual is the only way to go. I hate driving my my DD cause it's an auto and there's this one street that is a hill in itself. I have to slow to a crawl at the light to get thru the turn and than go up it, with out a stick i have to floor it and wait . . . and wait . . . and wait, until the car say's, "Oh, shit! I have to down shift!" and downshifts, slamming into gear and giving me some torque steer (FWD). In a manual, I decide when i want/need to down shift and if i need more power, DOWN SHIFT!

Re: Manual or Automatic

because i live in a large city with tons of traffic, i'm more inclined to buy an automatic for a daily driver, such as on my probe, or if i got an accord, or a nissan maxima, i'd want an auto.

For a weekend driver sports car, manual is the only way to go.

What do you prefer? Automatic or manual? There is no such thing in this poll as semi-auto, Tiptronic or whatever. Clutch or not clutch - it's that simple.

I have an auto (as does my wife) and I really miss changing gears. :(
Has to be an Auto , I have over a million k up and run around 600 k a week in my work so sorry but it's transport so an auto

Question Re: Manual or Automatic

If autos are so damn good why does every new model slushbox have a half-assed manual function?
