Do you guys get matchbox cars there? If so do they come in the type of cars actually sold in your part of the world? Just curious?

Yes we have match box cars out here and they are of cars that are sold in this country. I am not sure about the local manufactured models though!

There has been Falcon and Commodore Matchbox car.

On the topic of Matchbox cars, i saw a genuine match box 1:24 scale of a Silver Jaguar XJ220. $40.00 from memory. I am seriously thinking of getting it, a good addition to my EF. :p :p

If i do get it, i'll post a pic of it...

Venom, what scale is it. I got a Viper GTS as well in 1:43.
I wish they made the falcon in 1:24 that would be sweeeet.
Oh yeah i got a Maroon Falcon in 1:43 as well, :D
but sadly all my models are of different sizes, i can really start a collection theme.

Not sure of the scale or manufacturer but I have seen T series cars as well as XRs. Not much bigger than match box size

Yeah, they are 1/43 scale, but they dont have the Matchbox price @ around $40 :(. You can pick up the T Series one at FTE dealerships, and theres 2 colours, Maroon and Silver.
There also a XR8 Series 1, which came in 4 colours, White, Red, Silver and Blue. The White and Red versions were the first edition and they would be a bit harder to find now.


Another company makes 1/43 scale Phase IIIs in about a dozen original colours.

The XR8 and TS-50 is made by Paradise Garage and the Phase IIIs are made buy Biante.

All the major Ford V8 Supercar teams have matchbox car models.. These come in 1/64th scale..
I have the almighty no 17 car sitting here on my desk ..

Classic Carlectables are the company that puts these out.. as well as the larger sizes mentioned here previously..


Does anyone have any tips on where to get the AU1's that Martin mentioned...
