mates car keyd

my mates just bought a new car, an everythins good except its been keyd, on the left rear quarter panel

the scratch is about 6" long, the paints BLACK so its very noticable

just wondering how we would go about painting it up

can u just get touch up paint or whats the go.

the cars a vs s pack, im not sure about the code of the paint

if anyone could go throught the steps of gettin the paint and gettin it normal again that would be really cool.

thanx dan

btw. dont u just hate these people that key cars argh

Re: mates car keyd

Keying someone's car would have to be the worst thing that anyone could do to a car. I have seen many cars keyed before, and have spotted people doing it.

Depends on how deep the scratch on the panels are, but touch up paint might do the job. If not, I think your mate might have to spend some $$$ on a paint job

I am a victim of 12 scratches in one go. Bugger was lucky I didn't catch him... Just about every panel.

Re: mates car keyd

Im my opinion keying cars is a dogs act, one of the lowest things you can do. No matter if i hate someone i still wouldnt do anything to their car. My mate caught a couple of kids keying his wrx and their response was "look at the car you drive, you can afford to fix it". This guy saved for ever to be able to afford his car and is still paying most of it off and cherishs it! He then proceeded to shake them by their necks until the coughed up their parents phone number. The parents paid for the damage to be fixed and then i suspect they gave the kids a beating!

Re: mates car keyd

The trouble with dark colours is to cover up a decent keymark, you usually need to do the whole panel again.

Keying does suck, ive had my EF come close to it and while the paint is up to crap anyway, i was not happy when i caught the guy about to do it!
