Re: Melbourne Cup

I was suprised there wasn't a thread going with everyone's tips.

For what it's worth this was my attempt.....I haven't tipped a winner since Saintly in 96....and I always seem to pick one of the bloody Godolphin horses that seems as though it may run well, but finishes 18th or worse. It usually has Frankie Dettori riding it.

1. Mamool (Ha)
2. Big Pat
3. Pentastic

Next year my first tip will be for last place....that way I might have a chance of getting up there with another tip. At least 2 of my trifecta were in the top 10.

I am never picking a Godolphin horse, or one ridden by Dettori again.

Re: Melbourne Cup

I'm happy with the race result although it could have been better... Ended up making about $350 after cutting all of my losses from the other horses. Anyway its a great event to make a bet and cant wait till next year.

Re: Melbourne Cup

i put 30 dollars down in bets and only reclaimed 20 back so i really lost $10. Lot to worry its the only time i ever ever bet so i find it more exciting anyways.
