Smile Microprose Grand Prix 4!!

For those who are fans of Geoff Crammond and his grand prix series have Grand Prix 4 to look forward to. Geoff Crammond and his team have finally gone public with it, showing it off to some journos in London.

New to GP4..

New graphics engine, Looks damn great!
New physics model from ground up. already a strong point in the GP series IMO.
Fully animated pit crew, with full 3D pit garages and engineers!!
New sound engine!
All 3D car models have their own unique shape and wing design as they do in real life!
All track data obtained using GPS data.

This game is gonna rock.

Look for it on shelves next month..
:s3 :s3

That's good to hear, I like his F1 sims. I reckon they are the best there is. I'll be keeping an eye out for that one.

I remember playing Grand Prix 1 to death on the Amiga...You'll definitely want/need a high spec PC to play GP4.

Highly recommended specs would probably be:

Pentium 4/Athlon XP
256 meg DDR+
Gforce 3/4

There's no mention of a multiplayer internet feature :-(

Sounds good..

Does anyone know if the Microprose version features real-life F1 teams, or are they all made up?

It will feature all of the tracks and drivers from the 2001 season. A download or expansion pack for this season is likely next year.

It doesn't matter if it doesn't. There are plenty of web sites with up to date add ons from people with computer skills.
