Hello, I may be migrating over to the AU side next year from my current EA.

Can anyone give a ballpark figure on a ex-taxi or a el-cheapo Forte? SeriesII of course, i need them brakes :)
Before anyone goes PFFT just some cheapo guy, im going to change almost everything on there anyway so its more practical.

And is it only XRs that came in black or normal Falcs too?

You can pick a AUII Forte up for around the 10ish mark, i'd say.

Normal Falcons did come in black, but were a bit rarer. Or if you were talking about the interior, some had black and some had the lighter interior.

If i were you, i'd wait and wait, until you found an AUII Falcon S, with manual. Really rare, but would be worth it if you could get one. Simply for the manual :D They probably go for around the 14-16k mark.

Don't get me wrong the auto's are still good, but at the end of the day the Falcon S has the manual, which is basically a killer. Faster launches, more power.

Def go a manual and also the series 2 if you can.

Better brakes.

Brakes are upgradable without spending big bucks (series one brakes different to the rest).

The better interior is available too.

I see dealer ones in Sydney for $13,990 but I know you can do way better than that. Hell, you could prob pick up a fairmont for not much more.

The black paint - silhouette - is a premium colour if I'm right. Its cool , I have it on the XR but its a pain to keep clean.

Do you think an auto would be much cheaper? Im not gonna stick with the T5 anyway so an auto-manual conversion mite be cheaper overall.

With those prices im expectin to see one pop up for around the 10grand mark next year.
