Mitsubishi in Adelaide, is asking workers to to work a shorter week or take holidays. Mitsu has a stockpile of 4500 cars. Sales are down 37% on same time last year.
Uncertainty of plant future and new model next year are blamed for the down turn in sales.
It wouldn't be because the current Magna is so fugly????
Mitsu has never acknowledged that the Magna's styling is the cause of its poor sales.
And everyone thinks the AU had bad styling!!

Yeah... the magna is a really very ugly car. It would be interesting to see the percentage of loss in sale because of the manga alone..

Agreed. I dont like their cars at all, but it's a good company. I deal with a few executives and they have a real focus on their workers (something hard to find these days).

That and SA's economy would be in serious strife if they left. Not to mention the "leaving town tax" they would cop as our government has written some decent cheques to convince them to hang around.

Yer good point. Altho i dont think the govt has handed out a lot to News corp. Mitsubishi are putting their hand out for "incentives" every time they threaten to leave town.
