Modem Computer Changes

Was just talking to the local Ford Mechanic, young bloke ownes a 1999 XR6 VCT, no a bad fella really. Anyway he was telling me that last week he rang his mate at Tickford and connected the workshop Computer to the PC at tickford and downloaded new settings for the car, while he was on the phone to the guy the guy could adjust the timing, fuel / air ratios etc. He said he gave him the 200kw setting but it was running way too rich with black smoke everywhere, he then sent the 182kw setting and he said it goes alot better now. He even told me he has saved the new settings to disk.

Seems strange to me. I have my doubts.

i have my doubts too...a load of BS if you ask me.

It just sounds to good to be true, and tickford would not advertise that this can be done to their cars even if they could do it.

They never advertised it, the Mechanic has a friend at Tickford and he rang this guy. I know the Mechanic and he told me about it.

Wow sounds very interesting! Would be damn awesome if this is the case, however I have to say that I have my doubts.
