Ok Ford Fanatics,

I'm going to bite the bullet here, i've been wanting to ask this question for a while.

There are obvious reasons why i and i'm sure the majority of us here will not buy the Monaro.

But taking brands out and looking at the shape, who likes or dislikes the shape of the new Monaro.
I've heard a few comments from Holden people that some of them aren't really impressed with the shape.

In my opinion i think it looks nice, and surely a modern 2 door Aussie coupe is going to turn heads. I also think it's a good change to have that the normal Preludes, Celica's 200SX etc.

I like the shape of it but in saying that i think they could have done so much more with it by having a different shape. I saw one in the flesh the other day as it drove by the Discovery Centre and i had to look twice as i thought it was just another SS. I wonder how many "non car" people will think it's just another SS???? Thats always been a Commodre weakness, all the models look to similar.

Two doors aren't for me so right there that would count me out.

I would have to see one and drive one to comment further. As Alex said it looks like any other commodore to me, the shape of which I have never had a problem with

Ditto to what everyone else has said so far. It does look a bit sleeker than the SS but from a distance it's just a 2 door SS to the untrained eye.

Having said that, if the Falcon ever goes FWD then I might be queuing up for one or an SS...

I think the Monaro looks very understated. I prefer the look of the concept car. Naturally HSV will go to town on the body kit but the Holden version is boring.

To look at it from the front I don't think it looks good at all. Absolute shocker. From the rear 3/4 shot it looks great I reckon.

If you could change the colours for the interior I would look much better. I'm not real keen on these lairy colours. I like my interiors much more subdued.

Same, I'll wait for the HSV version before I pass judgement, because I think it looks fairly ordinary at the moment.

To be fair when I saw the bog stock Hillier coupe, I thought it was a bit ho hum as well. The "kitted out" version is a completly different story.

2 doors seem to suit the big wheels/lowered/kits etc.

yep it needs to differentiate itself more from the 4 door model.

However - I think buyers in this segment will take it up.

i.e. if your Company Car fleet requires you to buy from the big Four (Commodore, Falcon, Magna, Camry) then the Monaro is a way to get something different while fitting this mould.

I think this car will be the choice for the restricted user chooser.

The car does look good but not as good as the media hype makes it out to be. I personally haven't driven one so I can't comment on the performance or handling etc etc. It's good but not that good...
