Hey guys,

I was watching The OC last night and an ad came on for monster trucks at the Rod Laver Arena (Melbourne Tennis Centre). They are on the 3rd of October and im just wondering if anyone else plans to go? I will be there for sure.

Re: Monster Trucks October 3rd!!!!

Which trucks are they?

I went and saw bigfoot and about 10 other american monster trucks there 12 years ago and they were brilliant..... I went and saw some more recently and they were crap... there was only 3 of them and those annoying little 'mini' monster trucks that can't do shit. I wouldn't see them again, but if they are bring out the big boys again, then just try and stop me!!!

I went and saw bigfoot as well, they had the mud drags on the same night. This time there are about 10 trucks by the looks as well as truckzilla.

Re: Monster Trucks October 3rd!!!!

Would the fullsize trucks even fit into rod laver arena? Crusty demons was cramped enough, and they only had 2 wheel motorcross bikes jumpin around in there, let alone 572cube+ tractor tyred weapons of mass destruction!

They do, but badly. When I saw them last they got no real run up, hard on the brakes as soon as they clear the cars, only one row of cars could fit, etc. Most of the day was dedicated to the bikes (which are cool, but too repeditive).

Nothing like the big show years ago in the same arena which they cleared out most of the stadium and the trucks were going nuts!!! 2 rows of cars, drag races between the trucks (over the cars of course) a couple of tracked vehicles that could roll over the cars without slowing down, awesome stuff!
