Well folks - welcome to the world of brand marketing. Every single item that walks out the door with "Monaro" stamped on it is one more piece of exposure that the brand gets.

It's this kind of stuff that builds brand image, just as much as any flashy ad's will ...

Thats a joke right!! Even HSV weren't able to come to terms with a 70s brand name like monaro.

You must have missed the talk crettin gave on brand confusion

dont worry people 10% of the pedals will need rebuilding, the alignment of metal is prolly a few cm out, and the disc's will prolly get stress fractures, and your braking time will no doubt fail with fading problems. the drive train will get weak, and more than a 30% loss in power at the wheels, over the flywheel.

another Australian invention by Holden, who Leads the Field with ground-breaking innovations!

look at the shock absorbers on the bike, i'll bet theyre a new invention! How many bikes do you see that dont have shockies? Oh, and they mention Porsche sell bikes too. Looks like Holden's still playing tag-a-long, except theyre chasing cars that most australians will never be able to afford..

It doesn't matter what HSV think of the name - Monaro is a Holden brand ... Gauging by the current sales figures, it seems most people have looked past any poor image from the 70's, and decided to judge the product on it's merits.

Clearly there is a lot of inherant bias, and some hatred, here so I know I'm not going to convince anyone, but there is a reason Holden are selling so many Monaro's, and it isn't dumb luck ....
