Just bought the latest motor mag and amongst all the hype of the new AWD Adventra and HSV's Avalanche, theres a small article on what we may expect for the series 2 BA.
Apparently a 6sp manual will take over from XR6T thru to the GT and speculation also that Jaguars 6sp auto may find its way into FPV models only.
Development of the FPV turbo was quoted to be "done and dusted" and the vehicle should debut at NEXT years SMS. Rumours has it that its 280kw and has been "choked" down to keep the GT relevant.
Just remember this is all a YEAR away so in the meantime we have the Territory and Fiesta to look forward too. woopdy doo.

it makes sense to release them with BA2... they don't need to be released now, they're selling exceptionlly well. Releasing them sooner than that will just hurt resale, why do that so soon?

JEM im not worried about waiting a year to see these changes but it wouldnt of hurt Ford to leak drips and drabs of info along the way(like they did with the BA) to show they're serious about this. A small article in MOTOR hardly gets us excited about future prospects.
I may be jumping the gun but im not holding my breath to see what info they release to the public.
well you see thats the problem... if they officially release info on future models then people are likely to hold off and buy the new one, Ford do not want that, they want stong sales up until release of anything new. If i was in the market right now, and knew something was coming in a few months, i'd hold off for sure...
I'm lucky enough though that when i am in a position to purchase something, the BA2 should be out.

Ahuh!!!
And again with the mind-numbingly stupid decisions... the car is damn near releasable, and what do we get? A strategic decision to hold it back a year so as not to damage the marketing efforts (?!?!) of Territory and Fiesta.
Can these people not market more than one car at a time??? FFS!!!!!
