Motor PCOTY Entrants

List from the 'Drive' article for the Performance Car of the Year.

Subaru WRX STi
Porsche 911 GT2
Holden Monaro CV8
HSV Monaro GTS
Ford Tickford T-Series TS50
Renault Clio Sport
Lamborghini Murcielago

Go the T-Series. Should be an interesting read when published.

And the winner is ......Holden Monaro. I don't know why they bother to include any other cars. The way the press have been sucking up to the Monaro as of late i think we all know who the winner is already.

when will this test be conducted. I highly doubt Monaro will win, or should win if it does that is. Basically a 2 door GTS thats a bit lighter that myabe wil handle a little better. Other than that, well whooptee doo!

I highly doubt the TS50 will win, or should win if it does that is. Basically a 4 door Falcon thats a bit heavier that maybe will handle a little better and go a little faster. Other than that, well whooptee doo!

The Monaro - a vehicle that cannot withstand the rigours of a Motor Show!! Example 1 - man gets in all impressed, closes door. Man leaves, cannot close door. Door will not shut after repeated and increasingly violent attempts. Man walks away in disgust.

Please tell me Hobbes, old friend, that the marketing hype hasn't got to you too! :oo1: :s6:

lambo murcielago... *pants suddenly become somewhat tight*
god that's a nice looking car! MMM MM M!

hobbes

if i didn't know you were a holden fan, i could have guessed it by that post! that's what holden does too - takes overseas cars, rehashes them a bit, and sells them as "australia's own"

hehe

Personally I think it will be either the Clio or the Lambo...

Clio is a car we havent seen before and goes pretty well for a 2.0 and would be pretty fun. Economical, practical, affordable, sporty, its a car that anyone could afford and the insurance won't be sky high either.

The lambo is cool, it heralds a new age of exoitica. From what I hear its very very good. So it should be for the money thrown at it.

Then again thats a pretty good list. They are all in the running.

You can still not win the award and get good publicity.
