It's the auto section of the Friday's Sydney daily telegraph.
This weeks question was what would you buy, Territory, Kluger or Adventra?
My reply was published on Friday. This is what I wrote:
I would consider the Territory as it is a very innovative design. It has been built from a clean sheet unlike the Adventra which is just an overpriced raised Commodore. I cannot see many average families paying over $50,000. The Kluger is also a good vehicle but the Ford beats it for price and it is Australian.

Out of those three only one really catches my eye, funnily enough its actually the Holden. Sure its got a few issues such as all open diffs and that crazy box of mismatched cogs they have the gall to call an automatic transmission (don't think it comes with a manual option does it?). On the plus side however its not an SUV shaped car, i hate those things, they're a bitch of a thing to see past in traffic and almost everyone who drives one is on a power trip. When you compare the price of an adventra to that of an SS wagon it really doesnt seem that high, remembering that the territory (for now anyway) only comes as an NA six. Meh, anyway if you want an all wheel drive for the family hack the only real choice is Subaru, those things are smooth, a mate of mine owns a 98 liberty gx wagon, it rules! I can only imagine what a rex is like
wheels said the 'Territory' is the best local produced car ever built - even gave it 4 and a half stars out of 5. Sure it's built on a BA platform but why wouldn't you? It's a fantastic platform, no use wasting money on a new one when the current one is very good already. As for the Adventra it's clearly impracticle for what it's built for. It's also ugly and the Kluger is good but really needs some substance, I swear its just another whitegood product from Toyota. Which is a shame becuase it really is quite good.

Totally agree with you there, the Subaru is head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to 4wd wagons.
I think where the Territory is smart is the fact that they are offering both 2wd and 4wd. The 2wd becomes a cheaper option for those that want a
large(ish) vehicle but don't need a 4wd.
Holdens mistake is that they have only optioned a V8. Though a 4wd wagon is a great idea, this makes it quite expensive and out of the average families reach, and a young bloke will just buy a V8 ute to tow his boat.
There also isn't a great deal of room in the back of the Adventra either. Teenagers or adults are going to have their knees up under their chins sitting in it.
