My Bloody Back is killing me - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Just got back from my first full day behind the wheel, did 783km in total in the EB XR8, those bloody seats have to go as I have a backache thats killing me, Ive done lot's of long stints, a hell of alot longer than that and never had this problem before, the seats are fine around town but go more than about 4 hours and thats it, Anyone else with these EB2/ED XR/ Fairmont Ghia seats have this problem? Got good fuel economy 11.4 and 11.8lt per 100km cruise on about 125km/h.

Going to lay down on the couch now and watch Skaife kick everyones ass.:crazy1:

No, but I had AUI seats and after remembering how I felt after a weeks driving holiday around Victoria you have my sympathies. I've never been so sore in my life!

I drove to Melbourne and back for the Tickford Day and my back was fine, I find the seats quite comfortable

My seats are fine... I have driven to melb a couple of times, canberra, bathurst etc etc and never had a problem.

try adjusting the lumbar support, or seat height or angle of something.

Sounds like you need to go to the Chiropractor.

Hmm... The seats in my old ED XR8 were the best standard
fitment seats I've ever sat in. I've sat in some EF XR's and
my opinion is that the ED seats were much more supportive, especially when said XR is chewing through some twisty bits!

Too bad they went when I sold the car.....

Both the NC and NB seats seem OK long distance wise although I would like the base to be longer; I feel like I'm perched on the edge all the time.
