HEY I AM WONDERING IF MY EF XR8 COULD FIT A SET OF 18X12 INCH RIMS AT THE BACK AND I KNOW IN NSW I CAN ONLY LEGALLY GO 18X9 BUT DOES ANYONE KNOW AN ENGINEER THAT WOULD CERTIFY THESE RIMS FOR THE CAR

I cannot see 18x12's fitting under the back of an EF, and without a doubt I would first see an engineer. FOrget about insurance also.

Depending on your insurer, maximum width rim is 8" (widest factory size available).

IVE GOT 16X9 TICKFORD RIMS ON IT THEY WERE ON THE CAR WHEN I BOUGHT IT. BUT IF I DO PUT THE 18X12'S ON IT WHAT IS THE DEFECT I WILL GET FROM THE COPPAS IS IT POINTS OR JUST A FINE

you mean you have 16x7 tickford rims on. The widest tickford wheel made was i believe the EL GT rim, which is 17x8.5.

What kind of mods do you have that require a tyre 12" wide, thats a huge bastard of a rim, your talking a tyre of around 350-400mm wide god damn!

THE TYRES ARE 225X50 SO ISNT THAT A 9 INCH TYRE
AND AS FOR THE 18X12'S I WAS HOPEING I WOULDNT HAVE TO DO MUCH TO GET THEM IN

Jes, just the expence, trouble and wear on something that size would have me running for the hills! Id hate to think how much the rubber alone would cost - no offense, but im under the impression you want to "leave your mark" so to speak.

Man u need a 305 tyre. closest thing goodyear has is a 275/30ZR19 TL REVSPEC GY. Think u might have more luck at bridgestone, but they dont quote their sizes online. Whatever the brand, it will hurt $$$

You're going to need tubs for sure.

I'd struggle to fit those sort of rims on my XW and theres a heap of room under my guards.
