Well, after four years of kidding myself with a shitebox 4cyl telstar, I decided to slip into something a little more comfortable, namely a 1997 Mercury EL Futura.
I've only had it a week or so now, and i can say i am rapt with the performance, comfort and style of the car.

Work done so far:
17" CSA Force alloys
Pedders lowering 1.5 inches
K&N panel filter in stock airbox
EL GT Intake snorkel
Pioneer CD tuner
4x150w amp running soundstream rubicon 10" sub

when i get some more of the folding stuff i am wanting to get a new exhaust system, better midrange rear speakers, and a really dark window tint, but for now i am happy!

I'm having a ball in this car, still getting used to its size/power etc but it's all good!

exactly right!
The day that i picked it up, we had torrential rains in melbourne - coming from a front-wheel drive POS telstar to a 'real' wheel drive sedan took quite getting used to, especially with brand spanking tyres that werent worn in!
needless to say the tail got a little loose a couple of times!
