I have been with out my EL2 XR8 for ten weeks now ford have had it for seven of the ten and they still tell me they don't know whats wrong. The thing that I'm pissed off about I don't have my car and they wont even give me a loan car and they don't know why they don't sell cars. HELLO

I am upset that i don't have my car for 3 days cause it's in the holden and ford show and that's nothing compared to what you have had to put up with
I make it a policy to let only the great guys at Pedders touch my car.

welcome to FF mate.

sorry to hear about your car. i would be investigating what sort of consumer protection you have in your state and then exercising every last ounce of it. threaten the dealer with all sorts of crap. hey, post their names on here!! i would.

but above all...dont back down. do not leyt them treat you like shit. get tough. dont be rude, dont get angry...just get very tough.

Even if they rebuilt the donk and drivetrain they wouldn't need that long!

Methinks the Port Macq Ford shop foreman is on annual leave, bereavment leave, sacked/not replaced yet or something else to do with staff, not your car.

Port Macq? I think I know that one even if you don't name it. Its on the main drag -Hastings River Drive? - and its got the big Ford blue signage above the windows... Andrew Mediocre Ford rings a bell...

So whats wrong with the car, ie symptoms??. I've always found the ford dealer in Port Macquarie to be very good, especially in the service department.

some times getting tough dont work either...been chasin problems with my xr8 since new...its now out of warranty and the ford dealer at question is one of sydneys largest.many of the forrum users might have been there today.anyway complained everytime about the same problem..3 years later the same problem persists.i even phone ford in melbourne 3 times to try to resolve this problem but all you end up with is some wakka on the phone who takes your complaint and passes it on to the relevant authorities.recieved a call from some woman at ford and was told my case was unique but i find that highly unlikely.was also told my case would be used as a case study to work out how to rectify these issues.as yet no response and still a car i am not completely happy with after buying what i thought was a decent car. fte done the service at this dealer..maybe ford should look into their servicing departments and how happy teir customers are before just pushing another car upon us the buyers

Was told the same thing by Ford in Vic my car has something know one can fix because know one has seen it before they got my car. If you ring ford don't ask for Richard as he is a waste of space

Time to buy a HOLDEN I think I should of kept my VP 5.0L

Hi guys - sorry to hear that you are having issues - clearly there are things that Ford needs to address in the area of customer service.

I have edited one of these posts as it named an individual who would not have the opportunity to rebut the accusation and because the accusation bordered on actionable.
