My fun day at WInton.

Well, all started out very good, i went out for some farmil., laps no probs.
Then came the first set of timed laps, warm up, no probs.
Timed lap 1, all went well until i came through the Flip-Flop a little fast(being hussled by a GTO coupe).

The outside rear light up, then gripped and spat me off the track.
Hi the brakes, hard, they locked, of the brakes then on again.
I was aiming for the Escape road, then the left front hit the grass, and i was a passanger.
I hit the tyre wall at about 30-40k/h.

I am fine, but my 4 point harness just paid fro itself in one fell swoop.

Basically everything forward of the Thermo's is Scrap.
I am acctually lucky i had thermo's as there was not Fan clutch to punnch the Water pump into the block.
Dad got a trailer and came down and towed me home.

If it wasnt for the radiator being badley holed i could have driven the old girl home.

So if anyone has any ED parts they would like to Donate, or sell please let me know, as there is no insurance.

One last thing, my brake upgrade saved it from being a very big crash.

Re: My fun day at WInton.

Oh dear....

Glad to hear you are ok, Kerry, so sad to see the car like that!

And I thought my new front bar wasn't going to last long!

At least you got pictures.... sorry to see them though!

Hope to see and hear TIKFD6 back to her former glory in due time!

Tim
