You'll lose a heap of coolant I'm guessing, should be normal.

Re: Need Help Asap!!!!

How loose? If you've adjusted the idler pulley all the way and it's still lose, you might have put the belt the wrong side of the idler pulley. The "ribs" on the belt shouldn't touch the idler pulley (at least, thats the way mine is, I've seen a few the other way around).

I wouldn't run it to loose, it might jump off and get tangled with the alternator/fan/waterpump belt. If that belt goes, you can't really drive any more :(

TQE, SWB, ATPS, Worst of the E-series.. and I wouldn't have it any other way

Re: Need Help Asap!!!!

quite loose
is the idler pulley the one just above to the left of the air con one?
if so the belt is going underneath that atm
i can tighten the belt by letting the air con out a bit and not tightening the screws fully??

Re: Need Help Asap!!!!

Couldn't tell you on the aircon belt, don't know what's done with them when converting.

You were having big issues before right? If you're still having problems I'd rip the air con belt off and worry about that once the car is running.
