I am looking to put some new wheels on my xr8 sprint. I have not seen many wheels that really stand out and would look good on a red car...any suggestions appreciated!

Go for a set of 18inch ROH Azurros.... they look just like those on the new TE series falcons... They look really nice on the eariler models.. sorry no pics.. I`m sure someone will have a pic of some to share.

As for the sprint wheels, the ones i have got are original, brand new - they are still in boxes the way they were when i picked them up from spare parts at ford! The car didnt come with them when I bought it, so I went and ordered them so that the car would be completely original (the proper factory wheels are nearly obsolete i believe, if they arent already). I wanted to keep it that way as the car is a bit of a collectable (there was only about 250 or so made so i like to think so anyway!).
However, I want to show the car (it is mint, original except for a detailed engine bay) and im looking for an set of awesome looking wheels for it. Im not sure if I will sell the sprint wheels or not, as it may pay to keep them if someone comes along and wants the car in its original state
ill keep you in mind though if i do!

No worries mate. I am one step away from paying well over $1800 for the same wheels for my car, which is an absolute rip off for 16" wheels but as good as the price is going to get. And you know how much the tiny little centre caps with the Ford badge cost? $60 each!!!
That's why I asked.

hehe thankfully the $1800 is all inclusive, including cheap tyres. But it will cost more to get better ones.
At the moment my whole life is pretty much dedicated to getting those wheels though. I know they are available for $1000 exactly (without tyres) at a place called Wheel King in Moorabin, but the guy from Bob Jane told me that it is a scam of sorts. Wheel King apparently sell traded-in secondhand wheels and call them brand new.
BTW I have responded to your question about SPHELL's wheels. The info is here anyway:
