cool Need For Speed HP 2!!!

Monday, May 06, 2002.
Going to all Four gaming Formats . This is a all new game comming...

EA plans to drive the highly anticipated Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 game for the PlayStation 2, PC, Xbox and GameCube.

Read that carefully guys, thats a second edition/version of the original Need For Speed Hot Pursuit. So they are remaking it in all its glory.

All four titles will be published under the EA GAMES(TM) brand and will be available in late 2002.
Further building upon the franchises award-winning legacy, Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 will feature classic open road racing with the added intensity of police intervention, as first seen in Need For Speed III Hot Pursuit.

This year's game allows the player to select from over Twenty licensed exotics from the world's most coveted manufacturers including the Ferrari 360 Spider, Lamborghini Murcielago and Porsche Carrera GT.

Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 will feature five different gameplay modes:

Quick Race

Single Challenge

Hot Pursuit

and an all-new "Top Cop" mode for the Xbox, Nintendo GameCube and PC versions.

This brand new mode allows players to actually "be the cop" by taking on a career as a high-speed highway patrolman by competing in over 30 events.

Hot Pursuit and Championship modes also consist of over 30 challenging race events that if completed, the player will be rewarded with new cars, tracks and high performance upgrades.

Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 will feature over 20 tracks, with up to 12 miles of road and environments ranging from the lush forests to the sandy beaches.

The PC game will support up to eight-player multiplayer racing via LAN/Internet/Direct IP.

And yes you will find me in that lineup of expectant racing fanatics too, i have everyone so far and I am sure I will not be missing this one.

This was the best one of the series but for the rather narrow tracks, but I always knew they would make another one.

I always thought the first Need For Speed was the best on the Panasonic 3DO (the PC version wasnt as good)
Reminded me of Test Drive back on the Commodore 64.

The 2nd was too arcady, although you could drive the Mclaren F1 and Ford GT90:s6: Third one was ok but still not as good as the original. The Porsche one would have been better if it was based on Corvettes :s6:
