I went to buy a new ford falcon today $35,000 they offered me $4000 for my toyota 4wd. cheeky devils.my 4wd in the paper is going for around $9000.

Well it is expected, they do have to roadworthy it etc, provide a warranty, sell it competitively perhaps even at wholesale and make a profit

dont ya realise that you get only about half if that when you trade in like that????

of course your 4wd would go for that much in the paper, but thats how car yards make their money from trade-ins. cuts the price from the upgraded car, plus then they can sell it for more through either their yard or someone elses :D

if you want 9k for it go through the tradingpost or whatnot, or if you just want to get rid of it then just go through with a trade-in
