While driving along Dandenong Road, Malvern on Friday afternoon 29-8-03 I came across a new fixed speed camera being tested on the unsuspecting members of the public. Having my trusty digital camera with me I thought it would be worthwhile grabbing a few happy snaps.

Funny thing is these people tried to get heavy with me and pull the old line out about “you can’t photograph this”. However, being a civic minded fellow, I thought it my duty to bring to the attention of the good people of Ford Forums the following photos.

Also, since when did a public highway become off limits and a secret testing zone to registration and tax paying citizens?

Also on the issue of 'Revenue Raising' I would like to point out to all the NSW/Sydney people that there appears to be a bit of this activity going on in the Sutherland Shire, particularly on Heathcote Road. Nearly got done yesterday going down said road from the Princess HWY by a mobile unit hiding in the side street. Its a 70 zone but quite easily you can do about 80-85 because of the slope.....now if this isnt a joke i dont know what is.

SA is introducting speed cameras that work in conjunction with red light cameras. So when you run the red you get caught speeding too. Which is fair enough but they can also nail you when it is green..

I got done for Speeding, 64 in a 60 zone.
I know that i was speeding but 4kms is stupid. And the money i paid will not be used to enhance our crap roads
