Catch up to one white XR6 with Vic number plates who left the Royal Hotel early, have him run over something sizable (dunno what it was...) that is thrown upwards into your front end - and hey presto, Putty Rd mod!
The marks in the paint from the impact should buff out - I hope. Anyone know how much a new highbeam globe for the XRs costs? Only the outer globe glass broke, the bulb was still intact and working.
Sorry for the crap-as-hell image quality.

Yeah, being night and all, I'm sure he didn't see it, and I definitely didn't see it. We did some fairly spirited driving when there was no traffic - good fun. :s3

Not good mark. Must be one hell of a projectile to do that damage.
Gotta admit Mark was doing definitly caining it. I left from the Royal Hotel earlyish and drove fairly easy going the Newcastle Freeway way. Followed SteveXR8 then went abit quicker once the F3 started. Done 2 stops and by the time i was at Thornleigh Mark was home. :crazy1:
Mark,
Let us know how the repairs go, i hope ford don't charge an arm and a leg for the new light. I guess headlight covers (although not that attractive) do serve there purpose on the XR's even though it makes them look like they have glasses on. :oo1: :crazy1:

Yeah, the trip home on Putty Rd was probably more spirited than the trip up, hehe - probably a little more hairy too, being dark with a spot of rain.
Car bra is probably a go-er - won't look so obvious on the black car but I've just not got around to getting one. I don't like the look of the headlight protecters, and they would have been smashed (perhaps both?) anyway.
