The W.A government talked about trying to pass something similar a while ago, due to the large number of inexperienced driver fatalities. But as 1lowea said, because people work, no one ever took it seriously and it was dropped before legislation was even drafted.
That is total BS, obviously some fat balding lazy ass mutha fckun politician whose 16yo daughter gets ass phucked every Saturday night by the gypsy jokers just cant cut the cheese no more, so they come up with this crap. Wouldn’t stop me, I’d just take my P's off and go out anyway... I’d be earning more money at work than what the fine is anyway.
They will allow you to apply for a permit to drive at those times if you have a job, like they allow you to apply to drive an over-powered vehicle on your P's, for your job. Now, short of having cops on every corner, how are they going to police it? Unless the fine is very harsh, people aren't gonna give a rats shit, claim neglegence and generally give them hell. I think they wont do it, cause they're already copping enough flak over speed cameras at the moment :)
On the other hand, I have been known to do some of my craziest things on Fri/Sat night :) Like that time when I was going up a hill at, ohh.. 50km over a certain limit, and a cop went the other way :)
Thank god for Internet Anonymity... right?
