Hey all. I just installed a new HDD, and when i go to the Control Panel it says its working fine. But if i go to My Computer, its not there! When i say i installed it, i really do just mean i set it as a slave, and plugged it all in.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Thanks

start->settings->control panel->Administrative Tools->Computer Management

You should go to the storage->disk management tab and select the new hard drive (assuming it turns up) there should be a format or enable or something in there and you'll be set.

I assume you have win xp? if not it may or may not be the same process.

Its there, but it says its unallocated. So im going to partition it, but into 1 big 80gig partition.
