I'm looking at buy a Falcon 1 Tonner either V8 manual or auto but I'm stuck on wether I should get new or secondhand.
At the moment it's a little hard to find a low kay V8 trayback so I could go the new car direction.

Anyway I'm interested to know who here would buy a new car or who would rather buy a low km S/H car even though they could afford to buy new, just to save $$$.

Of the 6 cars Ive owned, only one was brought new, not due to financial constraints but due to the fact I used to go nuts when people would park next to me & open their doors, or bang into it with shopping trolleys, it just used to piss me off so much I though it wasnt worth the worry. If you you can find one with low k's & in good nick you'll be better off, cheaper, less depreciation, likely to still have warranty balance - its all good:s6:

You can usually save heaps if you buy a near new car. it just depends on if you can find what your after used

i like to know what was done to the car (prangs, lack of care)
a new car's like a virgin in a way... i'll say no more!

Yeah, I'd go for the new because it would be very hard to find a low milage example that's in good condition.

Yeah thats the problem you just don't know how the previous owner treated their cars.
Looks like new is the way to go at least it will last quite a while.

With Dad owning new and second hand near new cars i can say it's all luck at the end of the day.
But with falcons depreciating the way it is i think going a good nick 2nd hand car is the way to go.
Especially if one is after an XR8 like me. No way i could get a new one.
