The new VX2 S pack

Well I picked up my new car on Saturday, VX2 s pack 5 speed with cruise and traction. Great car and rides very well. A point of interest for you all though, it's only got 317km on the clock now (had 26km when I collected it) but she seems to be lacking a little bit of go.

Anyway, early days I am sure things will improve.

I love the seats, suspension and the Getrag. Pics thisafternoon.

Nice buy there bud. I quite like the looks of the VX's and im sure after a while it will go a bit better after the engines been run in and stuff. Still not as quick as an AU or the BA when it comes out.....

Is there something I'm missing here here or am I wrong in thinking that VX and VX2 are only available in 4sp auto and 6sp manual. What's this about a 5 speed Getrag??

Only the GenIII powered Commo's VTII onwards has the Tremec T56, the 3.8L Buick V6 Commos have a Getrag 5 speeders in manual trim.

Last manual 5 speed commo i've driven was a VR with a 5 speed, though i don't think it was a Getrag box.

Nice car, and the motor will loosen up after a while. What I like about the S (and SS for that matter) is the FE2 suspension.

Takes a lot of the mushiness out of the standard setup and still has a very acceptable ride.

Did you stall it the first time you drove it?
I stalled it twice the first time I drove one.

Should get a bit better as it gets some keys on it.

Whats the go with your XR8?
