I'm hoping we get a close up pic (ala the door handles) of the bit that holds the carpet mats in place. :s6:

It will be interesting to see how the adjustable floor pedals work/feel.

My uncle works at Ford Broadmeadows, (Melbourne) and yesterday he saw the new engines come down the line to be plonked into AV test mules. The base six will churn out 190kW at the flywheel, according to the supervising engineers there, the turbo mill should be good for a minimum of 250-270kW in the six of course, but will be de-tuned to 'bout 240ish, the single-cam 5.4 V8: 240kW, the double cam eight: 300kW and there is a chance that a supercharger will be bolted onto the double cam V8, thats a 370-400kW proposition

a friend of mine also works there.. he said a while ago that the Turbo-XR6 was pumping out MORE power than the XR8.. so they HAD to de-tune it. He wouldn't give me figures.

yep this is true according to a guy i know that was testing the beast. maybe it was also done to increase engine lifespan???

should be easily tweaked to churn some serious wattage though!

my ever reliable source has just provided me with some great new news!

Look out for hi-res pics of the Barra range in magazines and ford website very soon. Ford are building 250 cars as high mileage cars and do not want the car fitted with the bras
(1. becuase of the cost of 250 bras and 2. because they want 100% accurate data)

So instead of untidy looking high mileage cars getting snapped and put in mags ford are going to take hi res production car shots of the car to be released in the mags!!!!! Ford are also releasing tech data and expert opinion on the car instead of Holden's "marketing junk"

The wait is almost over. We will be seeing Barra very soon!!!!!
