Nice present in the post from my new dealer

Hi All,

Got back from a week in Sydney today, checked my letterbox and found the following letter from Titan Ford:

"Sometimes the wait is worth it"

Dear Simon,

I am writing to sincerely thank you for your business, with so many dealerships and brands to choose from, I am delighted that you chose the BA Falcon and Titan Ford for your motoring needs.

The overwhelming success of the BA Falcon XR series resulted in production delays in manufacturing; however, in recognition of your commitment to our dealership and the Ford brand, I would like to offer you a complimentary 3 day Entry and Pit Pass to the V8 Supercars as a way of saying:

"The wait is worth it"

Venue: Barbagallo Raceway
Dates: Friday 6th June - Sunday 8th June 2003

It's shaping up to be a classic event with Ford's all new BA Falcons going head to head with the old foe, so I hope you can take adavantage of this opportunity to witness the excitement that only the V8 Supercars represents.

Once again, thank you

(signed)
Alan Gray
Dealer Principal

PS: If I can be of any assistance please contact me personally at any time at the dealership.

The 'watermark' on the A4 letter is a full size XR6 Turbo. Nice touch. Enclosed are the 2 passes.

Well done Alan, good work, good marketing and thank YOU, I will be there. I am looking forward to when I collect the car on Thursday!

Simon....

Now that, is true salemanship. You'll go back in 5 years to buy again from him. It's a nice touch but hey that's good.

Geeeez,
I picked up my series III XR8 in March 2002 and they would not even give me a lousy ticket to the melbourne motor show.

Now that is a good example of going that extra step to achieve customer satisfaction. Pity most other Ford Dealers don't have this level of brains. Well done Titan Ford!

I've since found out that other WA dealers have apparently done this, but that's not the point really. I was impressed and I told them so this morning when I visited my new car. Credit where it's due.

Good example of good customer service. It takes a lot of hard work over time to get a customer, yet you can lose them in 5 minutes through bad PR. This shows the customers they are being thought of and not just used for a quick quid
