Today, I pulled up behind a ute I thought was an XF. Went to overtake it, pull alongside, and see a "nissan" badge on the side. The front looked like it had the same grill as an XF, but black and with no ford badge.

Now this may be a stupid question, but when were xf utes badged as nissans, because this is the first I have seen. Any differences mechanically between the two?

I read somewhere that nissan released a few as there own. Much like the ford mavrik (nissan patrol) and ford corsair (nissan pintara).

As far as i know there is nothing mechanically different, but ill wait to see what others say :)

Yes and they had a 3 letter code for it.... XFN! Completely original....

Nissan know better now! I want them to bring that 5.6 litre V8 pickup the Titan

Nissan badged the XF as their own, back in the days of the Lexcen et al. I'm suprised it's taken this long to see one, you see them around occassionally here.

Yeah my cousin's bf has a Nissan XF. Is it just me or where they all white (with "NISSAN on the tailgate, and a black grille)?

He's also got a $900 EA wagon, which he uses to tow his TC demolition derby machine around! Lucky bugger...

i look at them.. and laugh and think.... WHY?!?

I could never understand why two car makers would use the SAME EXACT CAR and just wack their names on it to compete against eachother. seems rather pointless, oh well i suppose there is a real reason for it
