Hi,

A mate of mine has a Lexus LS400 with 200000+km. The car is running great with no issues. However he is curious to know what rating oil should he run in it and whether or not to run fully synthentic. Now I know its not a Ford question but you all are very cluey so I thought I would pose this question to you. All suggestions are welcomed

I just changed my oil from what ever the ford service crew use to Shell Helix Ultra (synthetic) and 10 minutes down the road the V8 puuurrrred like a kitten...yaeh it cost me $55 but i think it was worth it every cent

Is that the V8 version? Something thin like Helix Ultra would probably give best results but honestly you hsould ask other Toyota people. Try www.planetsoarer.com

LS400? Definitley run fully synthetic. It'll be at its happiest that way, and it is a deserving engine of such good oil (1UZ-FE).
