Apparently the NE US has lost all power, its not a terrorist attack but a failure of the aging system.

Doesn't look good. CNN is treating like its the end of the world though

The outage reportedly also affected the electric supply in neighboring New Jersey, as well as in Toronto and Ottawa, Canada, on Thursday afternoon local time. Other areas--such as Cleveland and Toledo in Ohio, and Detroit--also suffered a power blackout, according to television reports.

News outlets reported that the outage was the result of a failure in the Niagara Mohawk power grid. New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg told news outlets that the blackout could last into the evening.

In a televised press conference, Bloomberg said there is "no evidence of any terrorism whatsoever."

in one press conference bloomberg said that there is hostels and the like people could go to if they couldnt get home due to the rail being out, and when he was asked how people could find info about them he said "go to the website" lol what a dumbass.

Must be because their own citizens are slightly inconvenienced.

I wonder if they will even make the connection with all the Iraqies still waiting to get their power restored, along with their water, sewerage, telecommunications etc. Probably not.
