So where were you born? What do you like better? Or are you from somewhere else?
Personally I LOVE the south. I was born and raised in South Carolina. I lived there for 20 years until moving west to Oregon. I'm moving back as soon as I'm done with school. Oregon is pretty, but I much prefer the the lucious greenery of the south. I prefer the warmer climate even though the humidity sucks.
I love the south and am proud to be from it. In my heart I'll always be a southerner. However, I really want to see more of this great country.
Well, I grew up in El Paso, Texas, which is considered southern-mid-west... and it surely was not lush like the SE US. I did not like it there, but I do love Florida where my family is from, the weather is SO nice there. Also, the Tennesee and Kentucky areas are nice as well, not sure if they are really considered south though. But personally, even though I like the warmth of the south, there is just something about the north, maybe it's in my ancesrty since I have much nordic blood in me.
Alaska is as North as you are going to get in the US, and I love it here! Should I rephrase that, I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it here! So I guess that means that the North wins! I just love the pine trees and snow in the winter time, not to mention the other 3 seasons.................... you just don't get the beauty of the 4 seasons in the south............... but you got to love that southern hospitality.. hahahahaha, yeah right!

My first car was a 67 Mustang Coupe, 2nd one was a 67 Cougar XR-7, 3rd one was a 66 Mustang Coupe. Why did I get rid of these cars for ? I know why, because I'm stupid, stupid, stupid.
I was born in Oakland, California. Ive lived in the North West and I dont think Id like the south. Humidity gives me horrible migrains..so does high temps. Not good for me.
I'm a true to the bone ZoNiE through & through. Born & raised in Arizona. I've done road trip over most of the country. From the "Deep South" into Canada, from ocean to ocean. I suppose we all have a place we like to call home. Mine is here in the state of Arizona. Only because it offers everything from lakes, to deserts, to forest land. I can be at a car show in the morning and go sking in the mountains by the afternoon.
Just two draw backs about this state:
One: over all attitudes here are bad. Paticularly people that move to this state and the ones who move here always make the statement that they seem trapped here. Seems when I travel, people's persona changes from state to state. I've been in better places than here as far as people are concern. I know this, we are right towards the persona bottom. More so when the temp rises.
Two: every year it seems summer and the higher temps stay around longer. Right now I'm sitting in my little office with the windows opened for the first time this winter. Up till two weeks ago we had the ac still running just to stay cool.
I suppose if I ever decided to move two places really stuck with me. One is Colorado Springs (my home away from home). The other is for the rich & famous - Bend, OR (a.k.a. supergoat's now present location) next to the Cascades. Someday I hope to call one of these places my "Summer Home".
However, for now the way I look at it, my car is not in storage because of the winter months (or the summer months) and I'm not shoveling eight feet of snow or fighting an ice storm.
Have a good one!
