Just got told, from a very good source, some interesting BMW info...

The new M5 (E60) will have V10 5.5ltr - 500bhp. (this will be marketed as a "modified F1 engine"

The next generation (E90) M3 will have a V8 (so bye bye to the cult classic hard tuned straight 6... should be more than 400 bhp though) . Also will have a new transmission (replacing the SMG)

Also a M1 is planned, using a turbo 4 cyl.

Well i think the current M5 is about $200k ... so somewhere around that mark ... *ouch*
