Man that engine design is awesome. It would spin like a top too. Horsepower, the only way to go.

Yeah considering in was built around 1965, before the 302 Windsor and 351 Clevelands miles ahead of it's time I reckon.
It's a pity they didn't use ohc for the smaller engines maybe it was because of costs?

At the time you pick up a 427 SOHC at a Ford dealer for about the same cost a brand new V8 Mustang.
Made 658Hp@7000Rpm with twin carbs



I knew of a guy who had one in a F150, but it was crashed and written off :dead: He also owns a low kms genuine Phase III.
He posted a few times on here ages ago but has since disappeared :crazy1:
