Yes, I would order them, in a nice Vivid Blue.

Victoria has had them for ages and ages, and they look really great IMO. It's about time the RTA caught up with the rest of Australia and started offering some choices for the customer when he goes to register his car.

If you look at the site closely, you'll see that on top of the fee to buy them, they also charge per annum to have the coloured plates, but if you've got normal slimlines and are prepared to pay $70 (and that's still a hell of a lot less than the near $400 for full custom plates) I think they'd be a good buy.

I can see Strider and Darkhorse racing out for some extra Venom ASAP, so maybe you'll be the holdout Aaron :s6:

yeah canberra has had them for ages too, saw an orange monaro with a similar coloured plate while i was down there and it did look good

still think black looks best on mine but for others, like JR, blue could be worthwhile

Putting my money where my mouth is, I went and ordered my plates remade in the vivid blue.

It was about time for a change, and I'm not a real fan of the idea of paying $400 a year for the real vanity plates, so $70 p.a. for mine in blue will do me fine.
