Obese people have fat chance in car accidents

Full article over at drive.com.au

Quote:
Fat people run a far bigger risk of death or serious injury in a car accident compared to people who are slim or of average weight, a study says.

Researchers in Seattle, Washington, looked at car accidents that involved 26,000 people and discovered that people with obesity were more than twice as likely to die than people with a normal body-fat index.

You know, somebody actually complimented me on my driving today. They left a little note on the windscreen. It said, 'Parking Fine.'So that was nice.

Damn, I put on all this weight when I had a car with no airbags..
Thinking it would help lessen the pain of the steering wheel.

Now I have airbags I need to lose it fast, or i'll die!

Help me Jenny Craig quick!

If Looks Could Kill... My wife would have killed me when I bought the XR6T.

Or just accidentally deploy your airbag (oops, was that the trigger wire???) and don't bother getting it replaced!

/me starts to think about going on a diet as well...

[Whip crack of towel]

Homer : "Come're Butterball!"

[Uter wails in torment]

Uter : "Don't make me run, I'm full of chocolate!"

Who did that study anyway?Yes real overweight people may find it hard to stear fast enough and turn their heads freely, but that is the gross obesity with BMI>40 or 50.
