Observation on nose of AU series

Hi guys,

I'm a Holden diehard but I must admit I love the looks of the XR's - they look phat.

On some occasions however, I've seen an AU that looks like an XR except it doesn't have the dual headlights. It's kind of like a TS/TE.

I think I like this simpler look better than the XRs. The lines are cleaner & it just looks more natural.

I have a feeling the BA XR series are going along the same lines - they don't seem to have massive amounts of fiberglass bolted onto the nose.

I think this is a smart move.

Guess we'll find out in a day or so :)

I like the look of the front of the current AU II & AU III XRs. They look much better than the AU I. The Racing Body Kit finishes off the look too.

mavss - thanks for the observations! It's refreshing to see someone from the "dark side" come up and *start* a thread and give a good honest, no BS opinion!

I tend to agree with you too, btw!

I prefer AU1 XR.....just looks cleaner and has one of the best bodykits ever seen on an aussie production car.

I prefer the AU2/3's to the AU1 XR's. But I still love the look of all the quad light XR's from ED to AU3.

AU1 XR's do it, ESPECIALLY on the utes!!! The series one front suits the ute a lot better than series 2/3. But that is just my opinion.
I agree with Mr Sparkle too. I have never heard a good comment coming from a diehard Holden man about our poor besieged AU Falcons, good on ya!
