If I had my druthers right now, I'd have a 46-48 Chrylser or DeSoto (Huge) Four Door Station Wagon, with the Wood trim.
One of those big ol' Tuna Boats, that you walk into and sit down in comfort.
I'd like the I-6 and I'd convert it to EFI, and add a 4-speed Auto Trans, Pwr steering, pwr Brakes, Electric Window and Door locks, and AC, but otherwise I'd have it stock.
That is one thingI have never got into, most any car be4 the mid 60's. Sure there are a few exceptions, 57 Chev, or a Vette, but most of them just do not do much for me.

32-34 Ford Coupe would be way sweet. Chop the top, mod out the interior. No Chevy power either. Drop a small block 302 in it, and supercharge that baby. :rocking:
Of course it would be a manual 5-speed with OD for cruising capabilities.
I had a Ride in a brand new 57 Vette with the Mechanical FI.
It was impressive but not my kind of car, even then! Our old 'B'-Gas Drag racer was a lot faster anyway..
The 32-35 Ford's were the Cutest little things. I always wanted one for myself. I have changed my mind about that kind of Car though, now I want the big quiet comfort.
I love the Car shows. I look at those early Fords and take pictures but I'm not tempted any more.
I'd never slam anybody else's car choice though. I'd be willing to bet on this: "There's somebody out there that would love to have the Car we would think of as the Ugliest Car on the Road"
i want a hudson from the fortys,although i would take any year hudson . i have a 54 dodge royal that i'm restoring.i hope to have it road worthy next spring. i would also like to get a 30 ford coupe.
I used a friends Hudson for about a week. I was pretty young, and wrecked the guys Clutch.
He came back two days later and demended that I fix it. I did, gladly, but it was the Goofiest Clutch you ever saw. The Disc was a Plate full of Holes, into which you placed Cork's.
It took me awhile, but I made it good as new, and we were friends once again.
It was a 40 or 41 Coupe, and sooooo quiet, and smooth.
It's strange that 135 Chevvy's would sell, to one Hudson.
Down here we dont see much of that old stuff. The Rust gets everything very quickly.
There is a good looking 46 Dodge Business Coupe that I've been over to look at though.
