one giant leap for commonsense. the WA govt is proposing to introduce those devices for repeat drink drivers that breath test and then shut the car down if the driver is over the limit. of course, this doesnt stop the drinker driving someone elses car, but it is a start and a surprising act of sense.

i read today about a woman in Qld who put her 5 year old son on her lap and got him to steer the car while she worked the pedals cos she was too pissed to do both. surprisingly, they crashed....she and the two kids (she should have let the 9 year old drive, but he probably wouldnt fit on her lap) are all in hospital.

words like irresponsible, negligent, stupid, and child abuser come to mind, but NOTHING can truly sum this stupid cow up. she shouldnt just be banned from driving, she should have her kids taken away and bamboo planted in her arse. she is a disgrace.

It sickens me to the core when people have such obvious disregard for human life. But when it's a childs life and innocence that is at stake it makes me absolutely furious. For this I have Zero Tolerance. Too Often I have seen Young Children sitting on adults laps in cars, not wearing a seatbelt.

In this country we have a cellular number *555 specifically for reporting individuals that persist in indulging in anti social behaviour on our roads. I make good use of this number specifically when i witness the above.
I suggest that everyone make a concerted effort to do the same as somehow the message need's to get across to these pathetic parasites that have no social concience.

While I am the first to admit that in my youth I was somewhat a loose cannon, and have a list as long as my arm of various driving offences, I have since shifted into adulthood and also taken on the reponsibilities of having two children. I simply Do not understand Adults who have such disregard for their kids. I have never, and would never take a childs wellbeing so lightly.
