Which engine do you think will produce the most power once it has been played with a little bit, the turbo 6 or the 5.4 8, my money is on the turbo, if it is true that it makes 300kw at 9psi, it would appear it has a wealth of potential, i cant see the V8 making that much power that easily.
yeh i'ld agree with you VXLS1.. the turbo is alot of potential!!! You'll get some HooN replacing the intercooler for a big arse truck one, and the turbo with a garrett t88 and achieve a time below 10secs on the quarter (plus other work to the engine to just support this HUGE turbo)
But Its not like they're arent any superchargers for the 5.4s out there! =)
Hemm i wonder what FPV are gonna do with the turbo 6 (they say in the site that they are going to enhance 4,6, and 8 cylinder cars)
Should be Sweet as!! Dont compare it to the GTR thats just stupid.. Give the 4Lt Turbo some time to develop over manymany years first, before we can compare it with the fine engineering in Japan.
The orignal power out of the callaway engine before its detuned is 450hp or 335kw. That's N/A, and I doubt it has that many troubles. I'm not backing a GM engine, I'm just poiting out the scope of potential that is still available from a V8. DO NOT under estimate the bent 8!

Originally posted by aston At the FPV site they clearly state that they won't just be about 8 cylinder cars....Looks like an in for a Turbo six FPV.
Yes, turbo 6. The site said that performance comes in any amount of cylinders. I think this could mean that there might be a special FPV Focus. A cheaper (and perhaps better) viable option to importing the Focus RS.
I think I speak on behalf of every performance starved Ford fan when I say, I'M EXCITED!!
