Does this seem like a pretty reasonable price for a manual EFII XR6? I am thinking of going out to check it out and take if for a test drive.

I know it has reasonably high k's but most XR6's I have seen advertised seem to be quite a bit more expensive.

EDIT- Bugger! Tried to make a link to it but cant get it to work.

Anyway details are, white, 165,000ks, full bodykit. $14950

Does sound an OK price - is it a 2000? Obviously the high kms are reflected in the price - I wouldn't let it stop me - high kms of country driving or every day driving is better than low kms of once a week to do the shopping.

Just as long as the car has been looked after - body condition? service history? rust? engine bay cleanliness? etc etc
As you would know, the Ford I6 is a pretty robust engine, so the kays shouldnt be too much of an issue, unless you are looking to re-sell the vehicle.

Does seem right on the money for the sort km's. If the engine has been looked after 165k is only just after run in. Make sure you pay good attention to the radiator, fluid hoses, anything to do with the cooling system. As far as there in good nick the engine will be fine. The usual service logs is a good idea too.
If the whole appearance of the car is immaculate especially the interior then you should be pretty right.
As a guide theres an EL XR6 White done only 78k and is selling for $21,990.

Thanks guys, I think I will go out and take a look. I am prepared to take my time to find a good one.

At the moment I am thinking I will probably look at spending a bit more to get something in a later model possibly an EL or AU XR of some sort but it won't hurt to take it out for a test drive anyway.

it has prob got 300 thou on the clock for that price or they dont have it in stock ( the old trick there is something better here though) I bought my car from there and i couldnt find any xr's for that sort of money.
