Other websites!

I just got on to the oppositions website for a bit of a look, the first thing I noticed was how a couple of the members there call to ban someone as soon as someone has a little constructive critisism of their product. Defend your product, dont just get rid of someone and start whinging. Like I said its only a couple of them , but they really push the point. Some ppl can act real big behind a pc. The odd comment of talk about it like adults comes up, but its always the same old story for a couple of them, I know everyone has their own opinion, but it becomes a little monotynous ( is that how you spell it?), they should be pleased that another view is offered, rather then no view at all, it does not make for intresting reading at all . I dont think ill bother getting on that site again. The odd member who shows a little praise for what the opposition has done, practically gets crucified.

Monotonus. I think. But yeah, I agree.

I think the same applies for this site. This is for Ford enthusiasts therefore one should expect to find pro Ford content.

If you look at all of the Barra threads on FF many members are constantly rubishing the opposition. There are just as many closed-minded members on here as there are at Ls1.com

I think it could be a matter related to the size of a forum. LS1 is (from my observations) bigger than FordForums, therefore you'd get a larger number of un-constructive members, and harsher moderation is the result.

The GMForums Holden area is still microscopic by comparison to LS1, but I appreciate smaller forums because an individual's opinion typically gets more appreciation.

If you go to an "opposition" site and start bad mouthing their product (even if it is constructive criticism) you've got to expect to cop flack. This is compounded if you're a Newbie. It's just a natural human reaction to defend what you love, whether it's a car or your girlfriend or your family. Tread gently is my advice.
