I jsut got back from eating at the OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE here in the States. Do they exist over in your country?

There is one on Old Windsor Rd, Parklea, NSW. The next closest we have is Lonestar. I've eaten at a couple Outback steakhouses in the US. I can honestly say there is nothing Australian about the place. All they do is get a US steak house restaurant menu and give everything Australian names. To top it of they didn't even serve Australian beer (and no Fosters doesn't count as no-one drinks that stuff here).

The funniest thing about the place is watching the funny looks on the locals faces when they try to work out which is the mens and womens toilets, as they are marked Blokes and sheilas :)

They have one in Alice Springs and they had stuff like Emu Vola vonts (sp?), crocodile meat, kangaroo meat.

Was pretty tasty if you didnt think about what you were eating :)

It all tasted like chicken anyway :D

That is what I figured. American steak house tye of join with your names instead of ours.
While we are on food. Do they have a McDonalds on every corner there also?

Oh yeah, at LEAST every corner along with strong support from KFC, Burger King and others. There is even Taco Bell moving in for a piece of action.

We also had a few Hooters for a while, however they didn't last long. Something to do with what appeared to be equal opportunity employment for their waitresses, unlike US Hooters.

Hmmm, maybe we are just a little slow in the marketing dept. over here. :rolleyes:

Equal Opp. Ha ha ha ha ha. They have got a little uglier in recent years. Not as HOT as it was when they first opened. HOOTERS that is.

ahhh hooters I miss them :) Once with a mate of mine (when we were drunk) we walked into a hooters place, doing beavis and buthead the whole time. They kicked us out after 5 minutes LOL

It's basically phone pranks using an Arnie sound board. There is even one in there done on Hooters. The best one I've heard is on Gateway computers, pm if you want that one.

I think I sampled just about all the fast food type places and theme restaurants in the US: Jack in the box, Wendys, Popeyes, Denny's, TGI Fridays.

For the Homer in you the Buffets (or boofheads as I like to call them) in Las Vegas are all you can eat :)

Of all the US products that I wish we had in Australia, the top of my list would have to be Nyquil.

I just can't get a product here that cleans me up and knocks me down cold for a good nights sleep. This dreaded lurgy keeps me up all night coughing and spluttering....

Next would have to be a fresh bagel. You can get them if you look real hard. It just isn't the same.

Here in NZ McDonalds, KFC, Burgerking etc.. is quite popular with the Maori's and other assorted fat people. :eek:
