As someone who works in the transport industry, I can tell you most decent transport companies could deliver freight from Vic to NSW next day or 2 days max. The company I work for sends a truck to the Sydney depot at around 7:30 at night and it makes it there by 7:00 the next morning and the freight makes it into that day's delivery run. So if it has been a week, it's the supplier who is likely to be causing the delay.
They don't pay me enough to plug their name

I know it is only tiny in comparison but, I got a MAF calibration tube from CAPA in Adelaide and it was next day.I ordered it on Monday 2.00pmand it arrived 10.30am Tuesday by Australian Air Freight.

I'm happy now ! Sent a formal email telling them that I want a refund since they can't seem to supply the goods, and they came to the party (waiting to see it on the cc statement tho ).
So while no product = bad, refund = good!
Graeme, just keep chasing - if they make a commitment to call you, read it back to them ("You'll call me back in half an hour then ?") - if your feeling particularly nasty, get them to email confirmation :) Either way, try and push ownership and responsibility onto them.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who's interested in seeing the end result of this block / project :)
