Location: The TQE (tm) Plant.
The Phase III was available with a chose of Gearbox & Diff ratios.
-Wide ratio Gearbox & 3.25:1 Diff
-Close ratio Gearbox with either 3.5:1, or 3.9:1 Diff
*Also, a "Detroit Locker" was standard.
Phase IIIs fitted with close ratio box & 3.9:1 Diff were much quicker over quarter mile.
Imagine now, if the Phase III was available with 5 speed close ratio gearbox (5th gear overdrive) and 3.9:1 Diff..............
